JS West has an exciting and inviting opportunity for IT Help Desk Support based in our Corporate Office.The IT Help Desk Support will take initial steps to help the company with any IT needs that arise. Reporting directly to the IT Manager, in this position you will be responsible for taking telephone, email, and help desk inquiries from staff in order to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system hardware, software, and networking issues

Duties and responsibilities can vary. A partial list includes:

  • Taking initial telephone, email, or help desk inquires
  • Logging Help Desk Support notes
  • Analyzing, troubleshooting and resolve system hardware, software, and networking issues
  • Recognize and escalate more difficult problems to System Administrators or the IT Dept Manager
  • Conducting server and workstation builds
  • Provide both technical and non-technical support to users
  • Assist with analysis and maintenance of WAN and LAN networks
  • Assist with computer equipment and software inventory
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with staff. Act as an information resource and respond to inquiries
  • Compile and document network and system changes
  • Resolve simple printer issues and work with printer vendor support
  • May assist with maintenance of network wiring and wireless networks
  • Comply with JS West and IT Department Policies and Procedures

Job Requirements:

  • Associate degree, completion of coursework at a technical school, or currently enrolled in a computer information systems program with 30 units or more
  • DMV license
  • Travel to remote offices
  • Able to lift 40 pounds
